Do you offer personal care?
No. Our Helpers do not offer personal care because they are not qualified to assist with this.
Personal care includes anything that involves physical contact like applying creams, cutting nails, bathing and showering, hair care, shaving, dressing, moving and handling, toileting, dealing with any incontinence issues, etc. They are also unable to offer help with any medical care, ie. administering medication, changing dressings, etc.
However, our Helpers can work in partnership with a carer. For example, you may have a carer visit in the morning to help you get up, washed and dressed, and then a Helper who comes in at lunchtime to prepare a meal, do some shopping and help with chores around your home.
If you're considering care options, please speak to us as we can recommend trusted local providers.
